Orang Asli village in Pahang to go under EMCO

PETALING JAYA:
An Orang Asli village in Pahang will go under the enhanced movement control order (EMCO) for two weeks, said the National Security Council (MKN) today.

Kampung Orang Asli Kuala Boh at the Ulu Tenom subdistrict in Cameron Highlands will go under lockdown from Sept 30 to Oct 13 after a surge in Covid-19 cases in the area.

Meanwhile, the lockdown at Kampung Tementong at the Cheka subdistrict in Lipis, Pahang will be extended until Oct 13.

The EMCO at eight localities will end on Sept 29 as scheduled.

This includes Kampung Badong Dalam and Kampung Permatang Durian at the Bebar subdistrict in Pekan, Pahang.

In Sabah, the areas are: Kampung Kirangawan (Darat and Tengah) and Kampung Pinatau (Kota Marudu), Kampung Nuntunan Apin-Apin (Keningau), Kampung Lungkidau (Ranau) and the Ruku-Ruku Boustead plantation (Telupid).

Meanwhile, the EMCO at Kampung Bahagia at the Batu Mengkebang subdistrict in Kuala Krai, Kelantan will also end tomorrow.
