KUALA LUMPUR:
Former senior sports official Sieh Kok Chi has alleged that he and his disabled daughter had been cheated by a former athlete in a RM1.5 million property deal.

Sieh, a former secretary of the Olympic Council of Malaysia, said that the signature of his 47-year-old daughter Sieh Shen-Nern, had been forged by the former athlete

He said he had lodged a police report saying the former athlete forged her signature for a power of attorney to transfer the half share of a shop lot in Sri Petaling.

Sieh, 82, said his daughter has been medically certified as being intellectually disabled and cannot read or write in Bahasa Malaysia or English.

He said the former athlete had approached him in 2012 for help in buying the property and he had agreed to jointly purchase the shop lot under the names of Shen-Nern and the former athlete. He said he paid RM1.46 million and assisted the former athlete to get a bank loan for RM1.5 million.

However, late last year, he found that the property had been transferred to the former athlete’s name in October 2019 without their knowledge.

Dang Wangi district police chief Noor Dellhan Yahaya has been contacted for confirmation of the report but he has yet to respond.
