2 Orang Asli villages in lockdown from Tuesday

The villages in Jerantut and Rompin, Pahang, will be locked down from Sept 28 to Oct 11 following a surge in Covid-19 cases.

Two Orang Asli villages in Pahang will be put under an enhanced movement control order (EMCO) from Sept 28 to Oct 11 following a surge in Covid-19 cases in these localities.

In a statement, national security council director-general Rodzi Md Saad said Kampung Orang Asli Sungai Mai in Jerantut and Kampung Inoi in Rompin will be locked down from Tuesday onwards.

A lockdown at Rancangan Rumah Murah, Kampung Kolek, Sungai Lembing in Kuantan, Pahang will end as scheduled on Sept 27.

The housing area had been placed under the EMCO on Sept 14.
