
In the 11.20am incident, the 21-year-old victim died at the scene from severe head injuries while his 19-year-old brother suffered minor injuries.
Johor Bahru South district police chief Raub Selamat said the man was believed to be returning home after taking his younger brother to his vaccination appointment.
He said the accident was believed to have happened after the victim’s motorcycle skidded and hit a concrete wall at Km4 of the EDL.
“The victim is understood to have skidded (on the motorcycle) and was thrown onto the EDL expressway underpass about 20 feet below,” he said in a Kosmo report.
“He suffered severe head injuries and was confirmed dead at the scene.
“Meanwhile, his brother suffered only minor injuries.”
Raub said the victim’s body was sent to the Sultanah Aminah Hospital in Johor Bahru for an autopsy while the brother received outpatient treatment there.
