
Of the total, 84 were classified as brought-in-dead (BID). The death toll now stands at 24,078.
Most of the fatalities were recorded in Selangor with 187 deaths, followed by Johor (37), Kelantan (20), Kuala Lumpur (18), Sabah (14), Perak (12), Sarawak (10), Kedah (8), Pahang (7), Penang (7), Terengganu (6), Negeri Sembilan (5), and Melaka (3).
There were no deaths reported in Perlis, Labuan and Putrajaya.
As of midnight, there were 206,473 active cases including 1,116 in intensive care units (ICU), 635 of whom require respiratory assistance.
There were also 16,650 recoveries reported.
The total number of Covid-19 cases recorded in Malaysia stands at 2,123,165.
