
PETALING JAYA: Two villages in Jerantut and Bentong, Pahang, will go under an enhanced movement control order for two weeks, the National Security Council said today.
The areas are Kampung Orang Asli Sungai Koi, Hulu Cheka, in Jerantut and Kampung Orang Asli Ulu Pareh in Bentong which will be under lockdown from Sept 20 to Oct 3.
There has been a surge in Covid-19 cases in those areas.
A lockdown at Taman Pantai Lok Kawi in Papar, Sabah, will be extended until Oct 4.
However, the EMCO at five localities will be lifted on Sept 20. The five areas are: Kampung Nelayan Benut in Sungai Pinggan, Pontian (Johor) and four villages in Sabah – Kampung Buanog Matunggong, Kudat; Kampung Tetabuan in Beluran; Kampung Magatang in Keningau; and Kampung Kilanas in Ranau.
