Health ministry reports 388 new Covid-19 deaths

There are 1,204 patients in ICU, 708 of whom require respiratory assistance.

Sixty-four of the new deaths reported yesterday were brought-in-dead cases.
PETALING JAYA:
The health ministry reported 388 Covid-19 deaths yesterday, according to the ministry’s GitHub database.

Of the total, 64 were classified as brought-in-dead (BID). It also stated that the number of actual deaths on a seven-day average was 108.

The death toll now stands at 22,743.

As of yesterday, there were 221,339 active Covid-19 cases, which is a drop of 5,781 cases compared with the previous day. There were 1,204 patients in ICUs, 708 of whom required respiratory assistance.

There were also 22,970 recoveries recorded.
