Air Selangor said this is to facilitate maintenance work and replacement of valves at three locations – Taman Sri Indah Balakong, the Cheras inlet and the main divider substation in front of the Mines.
The five areas affected are Balakong, Green Park Residence, Bandar Sungai Long (SL 6,9,10,11), Taman Bukit Palma and Bandar Mahkota Cheras (Jalan Putera, Jalan Puteri, Jalan Bendahara and Jalan Mahkota).
Air Selangor corporate communications head Elina Baseri said the work had been approved by Suruhanjaya Perkhidmatan Air Negara (SPAN) to ensure the best level of water supply in the future.
“Water supply will be distributed in stages and is expected to be fully restored by Sept 30 at 6am,” she said.
She said the duration of the water supply disruption and recovery would vary in the areas, depending on the distance of the consumers’ premises and the water pressure in the distribution system.
