KOTA BHARU:
Data on those who have been vaccinated will be harmonised to ensure it is accurate and up-to-date, said science, technology and innovation minister Dr Adham Baba.

He said the data harmonisation will be carried out by his ministry, the health ministry and Mimos Bhd, adding that it must be carried out as data on daily vaccinations received from several states, notably from Kelantan, needed to be updated.

Adham said census data showed that 1.2 million adults in Kelantan had registered to receive Covid-19 jabs.

“We will harmonise the data because we found that some of these people have been vaccinated in other states,” he told reporters during a media conference at a vaccination centre in Dewan Sri Tunjong here today.

“CITF (Covid-19 immunisation task force) will harmonise the data,” he said. “We are confident of achieving herd immunity in Kelantan by September,” he added.

On Wednesday the state executive councillor for health, Dr Izani Husin, was reported to have said that 20% of Kelantan’s 1.2 million registered vaccine recipients reside in other states and had received their Covid-19 vaccines.
