28 new Covid-19 clusters at workplaces and in the community

The clusters are in Johor, Kelantan, Melaka, Perak, Penang and Selangor.

Seventeen were workplace clusters, six were community clusters, three involved high-risk groups and two were linked to educational institutions.

The health ministry has detected 28 new Covid-19 clusters in the past 24 hours, health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said.

In a statement, he said 17 of them were workplace clusters, six were community clusters, three involved high-risk groups and two were linked to educational institutions.

The clusters were detected in Johor, Kelantan, Melaka, Perak, Penang and Selangor.

Johor

  • Industri Angkasa Mas Enam: a workplace cluster. It involves Johor Bahru. 422 screened, 99 positive.
  • Bekok-Labis construction site: a workplace cluster linked to construction workers. It involves Segamat. 92 screened, 48 positive.
  • Ayer Hitam Batu Empat: a workplace cluster. It involves Batu Pahat. 115 screened, 47 positive.
  • Jalan Station Paloh construction site: a workplace cluster linked to construction workers. It involves Johor Bahru. 93 screened, 34 positive.
  • Industri PLO 53: a workplace cluster. It involves Kulai. 267 screened, 19 positive.
  • Jalan Jaya Empat Pontian: a workplace cluster. It involves Pontian. 133 screened, 18 positive.
  • Ladang Padang Kahang: a workplace cluster. It involves Kluang. 89 screened, 15 positive.
  • Industri Air Hitam Kulai: a workplace cluster. It involves Kulai. 61 screened, 11 positive.
  • Jalan Parit Botak: an education sector cluster linked to an educational centre. It involves Batu Pahat. 25 screened, 16 positive.

Kelantan

  • Jalan Pintu Tiga Stadium: a workplace cluster. It involves Tumpat and Kota Bharu. 23 screened, 11 positive.
  • Kampung Chengal Batu: a community cluster. It involves Pasir Puteh. 40 screened, 25 positive.
  • Jalan Baru Kampung Sungai: a community cluster. It involves Bachok. 35 screened, 16 positive.
  • Kampung Bahagia: a community cluster. It involves Kuala Krai. 50 screened, 9 positive.
  • Kampung Bechah Kelubi: a community cluster. It involves Pasir Mas. 8 screened, 7 positive.
  • Kampung Kedondong: a community cluster. It involves Pasir Mas. 7 screened, 7 positive.
  • Jalan Cherang Ruku: a high-risk group cluster. It involves Pasir Puteh and Bachok. 18 screened, 7 positive.
  • Taman Jaya Chekok: an education sector cluster linked to an educational centre. It involves Kota Bharu and Bachok. 30 screened, 22 positive.

Perak

  • Industri Perusahaan Satu Buntar: a workplace cluster. It involves Kerian. 444 screened, 56 positive.
  • Industri Jalan Perusahaan Buntar: a workplace cluster. It involves Kerian. 152 screened, 23 positive.
  • Sejagop construction site: a workplace cluster linked to construction workers. It involves Perak Tengah. 93 screened, 13 positive.
  • Taman Desa Permata: a community cluster. It involves Hulu Perak. 111 screened, 35 positive.
  • Jalan Tanjung Rambutan: a high-risk group cluster. It involves Hulu Perak. 110 screened, 60 positive.

Selangor

  • Industri Dua Jalan Waja 14: a workplace cluster. It involves Kuala Langat. 75 screened, 21 positive.
