PETALING JAYA:
Water supply to 463 areas in five regions in Selangor will be fully restored by Monday morning, Air Selangor said.

The concessionaire said this would be possible as the Sungai Semenyih water treatment plant will commence operations this evening.

The plant was shut down on Tuesday following odour pollution detected in the river, resulting in the water cuts.

“The unscheduled water disruption is expected to fully recover by 6am, Sept 6,” Air Selangor said in a statement.

It also said 94 water tankers had been mobilised to the affected areas.
