Police also recorded statements from her husband and a few of her followers, and it was found that due to the current pandemic restrictions, she only had virtual contact with her followers, a source told Bernama.
The woman, believed to be the group’s leader, recently went viral after claiming that World War III would begin in Sabah and that she would lead her team to find Imam Mahdi and fight the enemy.
There are claims that PMYT has 3,000 members, although according to police, the so-called members are actually followers of the group on its social media accounts such as Facebook.
Yesterday, Inspector-General of Police Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani was reported to have said that police were monitoring the group to ensure it would not cause public anxiety.
He said police required to conduct a thorough investigation and needed to gather information from various parties, including Islamic religious bodies.
