PETALING JAYA:
An entertainment outlet manager and seven customers were issued compound notices totalling RM60,000 following a police raid on the premises in Sungai Way here on Sunday for violating the SOPs under the national recovery plan.

Petaling Jaya district police chief Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid said the outlet manager was fined RM25,000 while the customers, aged between 20 and 50, were fined RM5,000 each.

He said the seven customers – six men and a woman – were in the outlet when the raid was carried out at 3pm. Three foreigners were also at work there.

The manager was fined because the outlet was operating under Phase 1 of the plan, he said in a statement yesterday.

Police also conducted urine tests on the individuals and two of the customers, aged 22 and 25, tested positive for methamphetamine and ketamine.

Fakhrudin said the outlet manager, aged 40, also failed to produce a valid alcohol sales licence and was arrested with the three foreign workers.
