The state government said that since Selvax kicked off on June 26, Selangor had managed to vaccinate all eligible adults in the state.
However, it did not say when the vaccination programme would commence in other states.
“Selvax will still operate as usual to provide vaccination to those who have received their appointments here.
“We will also expand our outreach programme in mobile vans to inoculate those living in rural areas,” the Selangor government said.
Besides that, it added that the state would sell and provide vaccine supplies to clinics, hospitals and pharmacies.
Selvax is a vaccination programme mooted by the Selangor government to complement the federal government’s national Covid-19 immunisation programme.
Previously, menteri besar Amirudin Shari said they had booked a total of 2.5 million doses of the Sinovac vaccine from Pharmaniaga Bhd.
Up to Friday, 38% or 12,408,803 people had received both doses of the Covid-19 vaccine, according to the Covid-19 vaccine supply access guarantee special committee (JKJAV).
Meanwhile, 78% of individuals living in the Klang Valley have received both doses of the vaccine.
