25mil doses administered, 38.7% of population fully vaccinated

The health ministry says 15,959,596 individuals have received their first dose and 9,048,634 both doses.

KUALA LUMPUR:
A total of 25,008,230 vaccine doses have been administered as of yesterday, said health minister Dr Adham Baba.

Of the total, 15,959,596 individuals have received their first dose and 9,048,634 both doses.

In an infographic shared on Twitter, he said 68.2% of the population have received the first dose, and 38.7% both doses.

On the daily vaccination rate, Adham said 465,793 doses were administered yesterday, with 187,495 as the first dose and 278,298 the second dose.

The vaccine doses were administered through the national Covid-19 immunisation programme, launched on Feb 24 to contain the pandemic.
