PETALING JAYA:
The relaxed Covid-19 rules for those who have been fully vaccinated will be announced either tomorrow or the day after, Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin said today.

According to a Bernama report, Muhyiddin said these rules include leeway for inter-district and interstate travel and visiting parents or outstation spouses.

“Maybe tomorrow or the day after, I will make the long-awaited announcement for those who have received two doses of (the) Covid-19 vaccine,” he said after visiting the Felda Lenga mobile vaccination centre in Pagoh, Johor.

Muhyiddin added that the relaxed SOPs would also include social and recreational activities, including dining in and sports.

Previously, deputy prime minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the SOP relaxations would be announced after Hari Raya Haji, though a technical committee was still determining the type of flexibility to be given to those who are fully vaccinated.

Ismail had said the committee was also looking into which business sectors could be given relaxed restrictions.

As of Aug 4, a total of 22.6 million vaccines have been administered nationwide, with 7.7 million people already fully vaccinated.
