Malaysia’s rising Covid-19 vaccination rate got the thumbs up from Ho Ching, wife of the Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.

In her latest Facebook update today, Ho Ching noted that Malaysia’s vaccination rate has gone up to half a million shots daily.

“This is the current run rate in the USA too, except the USA has 10 times the population of M’sia (Malaysia). Go, go, go!,” she wrote.

The number of Covid-19 daily vaccinations in Malaysia has surpassed 500,000 doses in the past six consecutive days, with 519,111 doses administered on July 31 alone.

Cumulatively, 20,533,660 doses have been administered in the country since Malaysia’s National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK) kicked off on Feb 24.

The number covers 13,816,971 first jabs, while 6,716,689 recipients received the second dose completing their vaccination.
