In a Facebook post, Amanah Youth secretary Asim Abdullah Ainullotfi said Shazni, who is also Amanah Youth chief, was weak and in Category 4, which involves symptomatic cases with lung infection requiring oxygen supply.
He added that Shazni’s wife and children had also tested positive for the virus and were quarantined at home while awaiting further instructions from health authorities.
“We ask for prayers and support from all so that he can make a quick recovery.
“At the same time, those who want to lighten the family’s burden, as they face this difficult time, may channel aid to his wife,” he said.
Readers wishing to help the family can send a WhatsApp message to FMT’s Helpline at 019-3899839. Please don’t make phone calls.
Shazni had announced that he had tested positive for Covid-19 on July 19 after experiencing high fever and body ache.
