
He said the Dewan Rakyat committee had suggested the number and it would be discussed with party whips.
A decision on the proposal would be made by next week before Parliament opens for the five-day special sitting.
“The suggestion is the same as last year when only 80 MPs were allowed at any one time,” Utusan Online quoted him as saying.
The Dewan Rakyat committee is also proposing that 44 government MPs and 36 opposition MPs be allowed to attend each day, with the MPs taking turns for the morning and afternoon sittings, added Rashid.
Ministers and their deputies would also be limited to having three officers with them during the sitting.
The sitting will look into Covid-19 and the issues surrounding it, he said, adding that MPs would be allowed to ask questions.
Yesterday, Rashid was reported as saying that no debates or motions would be tabled.
No hybrid sitting would be held this time because normal sittings could be held, Rashid told reporters at a mobile vaccination programme in Sri Stulang, Johor.
