Magistrate Jessica Ombou Kakayun made the ruling today after deputy public prosecutor Siti Hajar Mazlan applied for the hearing involving the accused Phillip Among@ Daniel Dell Fidelis, a member of Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku (STAR) to be jointly tried.

Siti Hajar made the application under Section 165 of the Criminal Procedure Code as all the four charges involved the same alleged victim and accused, and that the cases were all connected.

Kakayun then fixed July 22 for the re-mention of the case and handing over of documents to be used in the trial.

Previously, the four charges were fixed for case management in front of different magistrates and dates. Only one case was mentioned before the court today.

Among was previously charged under Section 354 of the Penal Code for outraging the modesty of two women separately including the beauty pageant contestant.

However, the accused pleaded not guilty to all counts on July 10.

For the first count, Among is charged with using criminal intimidation with the intent to outrage the modesty of a woman at 11pm on April 17 at Capsule Inn in Asia City here.

The other charges were for molesting the beauty contestant at four separate locations on May 19.

The court had allowed RM8,000 bail for each charge with two sureties while awaiting the pre-trial case management.
