PETALING JAYA: The price of RON97 will increase by two sen per litre starting tomorrow, the finance ministry announced this evening.
RON97 will retail at RM2.69 per litre. The new price will be effective from July 1 until July 7.
Meanwhile, the retail price of RON95 and diesel remains unchanged at RM2.05 and RM2.15 per litre respectively.
The finance ministry said the ceiling price for RON95 and diesel was retained to protect consumers from the global price increase.
“The government will continue to monitor the trends in global crude oil prices and take appropriate measures to ensure the continued welfare and well-being of the people,” the statement read.
