Last week, it was reported that a man had tried to flee the police in his Perodua Myvi after he was ordered to stop near the Perak Road-P Ramlee junction at 6.40am.
A senior citizen was mowed down as the man drove his rental car past the morning market along Perak Road. Later, police fired shots at the car’s tyres as he tried to ram a cop near Van Praagh Road.
Despite being shot by cops on bikes, the man sped all the way to Batu Uban, where he crashed into another parked car before being apprehended by policemen in chasing patrol cars.
