The video of the men, believed to be members of Gang 35, celebrating Father's Day was shared on TikTok.

PETALING JAYA:
Police have arrested 11 individuals believed to be members of Gang 35 in Kedah yesterday after a video of 15 people gathering at a house for a Father’s Day celebration went viral.

According to a Harian Metro report, Kedah police chief Kamarul Zaman Mamat said in the 44-second video uploaded on TikTok, a man could be seen cutting a cake, in the shape of the number 35.

He said the individuals were arrested in stages in Kulim, from 10pm yesterday.

“The incident took place at one of the suspect’s houses, where he was celebrating Father’s Day as well.

“The individuals, aged between 25 and 61, who participated in the celebration are acquaintances of the suspect.

“However, the police believe that all those arrested are related to Gang 35,” Kamarul said, adding that police also seized mobile phones and rings to assist their investigations.

He added that all the suspects were brought to court for remand, and the case was being investigated under Rule 10 of the Infectious Diseases Regulations 2021, Section 269 of the Penal Code and Section 52(3) of the Societies Act 1966.
