Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said there were 7,386 recoveries, bringing the total number of those discharged to 548,705.
In a statement, Noor Hisham said the total number of infections now stands at 633,891.
There are 81,575 active cases with 905 patients being treated in intensive care and 453 requiring respiratory assistance.
Meanwhile, the 75 deaths take the number of fatalities to 3,611.
Selangor recorded the highest number of cases with 2,291, of which 1,683 were from close contacts and 59 detected in clusters.
This was followed by Kuala Lumpur (704), Negeri Sembilan (507), Johor (468), Sarawak (419), Kelantan (340), Sabah (232), Pahang (232), Labuan (200), Penang (194), Perak (175), Terengganu (171), Melaka (150), Kedah (135), Putrajaya (17) and Perlis (4).
There were 6,228 local infections today, comprising 5,377 Malaysians and 851 foreigners, as well as 11 imported cases.
The 75 deceased comprised 74 Malaysians and one foreigner, aged between 26 and 92.
All but 11 had existing medical conditions. Ten were brought in dead.
