Jais says no marriage solemnisation ceremonies this month

The Selangor religious authority said the matter was decided upon consent from the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah.

Aside from marriage solemnisation ceremonies, Jais said all its other services will also be postponed until the end of the month.

Marriage solemnisation ceremonies and all services under the Selangor Islamic Religious Department (Jais) have been postponed with immediate effect until June 30 following the implementation of the total lockdown nationwide.

In a Facebook post today, Jais said the matter was decided upon consent from the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah.

Last Friday, the National Security Council announced a nationwide lockdown for two weeks, from today until June 14, with the possibility that it may be extended.
