Kelantan CID chief Wan Khairuddin Wan Idris said the woman’s three children were also in the car during the incident.
Harian Metro reported that the suspect, in his 30s, was arrested at Kampung Badang at 7am today and remanded.
“Checks by the forensic team found that the windshield of the victim’s car was broken, although no bullets or bullet casings were found,” he said.
The woman, also in her 30s, and her three children, aged between three and 13, were unharmed.
She lodged a police report claiming that her former husband had tailed her car while she was on her way home yesterday evening, before firing a gunshot.
Khairuddin said investigations were ongoing under Section 307 of the Penal Code for attempted murder.
