High-risk, Phase 2 recipients to replace vaccination no-shows

They will receive their vaccines in the evening of the same day, or on a set appointment date.

The government says there will be a ‘back-up’ list to fill up spaces left by those who fail to show up for their vaccinations.
PETALING JAYA:
The elderly, disabled and those with comorbidities will be prioritised to take the place of those who fail to turn up for their vaccination appointments, a government guideline has indicated.

Also prioritised will be others who are part of Phase 2 of the national immunisation Covid-19 programme, according to the guideline sighted by FMT.

They will be included in a ‘back-up’ list and will only be called once the vaccination centre confirms the absence of a vaccine recipient on that day.

“Only the head coordinator or the coordinator of the vaccination centre can decide to call from the list at any time,” it said.

According to the guideline, those in the back-up list will only be allowed to come later in the evening or on a set appointment date.

It also instructed coordinators to remind all vaccination centre staff not to issue any statements that could cause confusion or dissatisfaction.

FMT has reached out to the Covid-19 immunisation task force for comment.
