
PETALING JAYA: The health ministry has reported 17 new Covid-19 clusters in the past 24 hours, health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said today.
At a press conference, he said seven involved communities, six involved workplaces, two involved religious activities, one involved the education sector and one involved a high-risk group.
They were detected in Johor, Selangor, Penang, Sarawak, Kelantan, Terengganu, Kuala Lumpur, Perak, Pahang and Negeri Sembilan.

Kuala Lumpur
- Kolej Bunga Raya: a cluster linked to an educational centre. It involves Lembah Pantai. The index case was detected on May 22. 67 screened, 10 positive.
- Desa Melawati: A high-risk group cluster. It involves Titiwangsa. 31 screened, 16 positive.
- Perindustrian Batu Caves: a workplace cluster linked to a factory. It involves Kepong. 97 screened, 50 positive.
Johor
- Jalan Laksamana Tiga: a cluster linked to religious activity. It involves Johor Bahru. The index case was detected on May 19. 49 screened, 15 positive.
- Jalan Sri Putri 11: a community cluster. It involves Kulai. The index case was detected on May 22. 63 screened, 11 positive.
Selangor
- Balakong Batu Dua Belas: a workplace cluster linked to a factory. It involves Hulu Langat. 110 screened, 29 positive.
- Jalan Kasuarina: a workplace cluster linked to a construction company. It involves Klang and Gombak. 150 screened, 51 positive.
Penang
- Jalan Veterinari: a community cluster. It involves Timur Laut. The index case was detected on May 14. 172 screened, 35 positive.
- Lorong Jelawat Dua: a workplace cluster linked to a factory. It involves Seberang Perai Tengah. 1,001 screened, 10 positive.
Sarawak
- Gerigat: a community cluster. It involves Kabong and Betong. The index case was detected on May 24. 358 screened, 20 positive.
- Sungai Parik: a community cluster. It involves Sri Aman and Lubok Antu. The index case was detected on May 19. 130 screened, 24 positive.
Kelantan
- Kampung Tanjung Chenok: a community cluster. It involves Pasir Mas. The index case was detected on May 18. 28 screened, 13 positive.
- Taman Wahyu: a community cluster. It involves Pasir Mas. The index case was detected on May 18. 22 screened, 9 positive.
Perak
- Taman Industri Pelabuhan: a workplace cluster linked to a factory. It involves Manjung. The index case was detected on May 29. 109 screened, 13 positive.
Terengganu
- Sungai Ular: a community cluster. It involves Hulu Terengganu. The index case was detected on May 19. 85 screened, 20 positive.
Pahang
- Kampung Pagi: a cluster linked to religious activity. It involves Jerantut. The index case was detected on May 24. 76 screened, 10 positive.
Negeri Sembilan
- Industri Dioh: a workplace cluster linked to a factory. It involves Kuala Pilah. 468 screened, 131 positive.
