PETALING JAYA: Fuel prices will remain unchanged for the next seven days, the finance ministry announced today.
RON95 and RON97 will retail at RM2.05 and RM2.60 per litre, respectively.
The price of diesel, too, remains at RM2.15 a litre.
The new rates will be effective from May 13 until May 19.
The finance ministry said the ceiling price for RON95 and diesel was retained to protect consumers from the global price increase, as market price has exceeded the current ceiling.
“The government will continue to monitor the trends of global crude oil prices and take appropriate measures to ensure the continued welfare and well-being of the people.”
