PUTRAJAYA:
Government offices will remain fully operational throughout the movement control order (MCO) period, from tomorrow until June 7, to ensure that the government service delivery system is not affected, said Chief Secretary to the Government Mohd Zuki Ali.

Mohd Zuki said the heads of departments must ensure that government offices remain fully operational, based on the guidelines set under the circular letter issued by the director-general of the public service department dated Jan 12.

“Heads of departments must use prudence and wisdom in planning human resource needs to ensure staff attendance in the office can be minimised through the rotation system, and must issue internal instructions detailing priorities according to their respective departmental sectors,” he said in a statement posted on his Facebook account today.

Mohd Zuki said officers who did not need to be present at work in the office, were instructed to work from home in accordance with the rules and guidelines provided under the work from home policy.

“The country’s civil service will continue to be the mainstay to ensure that the government’s administrative machinery remains operational, based on SOPs set to curb the spread of the third wave of the Covid-19 pandemic,” he said.
