
The company, which started off in the plastics manufacturing industry some 42 years ago, completed the testing and commissioning of its first two production lines at its glove manufacturing factory in Kapar, Klang today.
Four more production lines are set to be operational by the second quarter of the year while six other lines will run by the third quarter.
“Today, we are one of the biggest high-tech plastic product manufacturers and one of the largest plastic pallet producers in Malaysia. We are also a property developer well-known for our quick turnaround business model to meet the current market property demand.
“We will continue to look into various ways to enhance our business operations and meet our shareholders’ expectations.
“Having started our new venture into gloves, we aim to expand further, should glove demand continue to outpace supply,” said Mah Sing founder and managing director Leong Hoy Kum.
He added that Mah Sing aimed to be among the top five glove producers in the country, while exploring listing its manufacturing and healthcare divisions.
CEO Ho Hon Sang said Mah Sing had already received numerous orders from prominent brands in healthcare, adding that the company expected its glove business to generate more revenue for the firm.
