
In a letter today, the Petaling district health office said the schools will be closed from tomorrow onwards for sanitisation and close contact screenings. It added that it will notify when the schools can reopen two days prior to the date.
The letter was sent to the Petaling Perdana and Petaling Utama district education offices and headmasters of the affected schools.
The affected schools are:
- SAM Bestari Subang Jaya
- SMK Bukit Jelutong
- SK Puchong Perdana
- SK Bandar Baru Sri Damansara 2
- SK Bukit Kuchai
- SMK Bandar Sri Damansara 2
- SK Bandar Sri Damansara 3
- SKJC Yuk Chai
- SMK Damansara Jaya
- SK Bukit Jelutong
- SMK Seksyen 7
- SK USJ 20
- SMK USJ 23
- SMK Puchong
- SMK Puchong Utama 1
- SMK Seksyen 4 Bandar Kinrara
- SMK Bandar Puncak Jalil
- SMK Seksyen 20
- SMK Puchong Perdana
The health ministry reported 2,078 Covid-19 cases today, the fifth day in a row that infections have exceeded 2,000.
There has also been a spate of outbreaks in schools recently, with several Covid-19 clusters detected in schools and educational institutions in the past week.
