
Her granddaughter, Faiqah Khairul Azam, 25, said Hapsah had suffered from a brain tumour the past three years and had undergone surgery about three weeks ago at a private hospital in Damansara, Selangor.
“My grandma was having a fever the past two days and her tumour was still there after her third operation,” she told Bernama.
She said the remains would be brought to Napsah’s house at Taman Bukit Kepayang here before being laid to rest at the Tuan Haji Said Muslim cemetery in Seremban after Zohor prayers.
Hapsah had held the post of Rasah Wanita Umno chief for the past five terms.
She leaves behind three daughters and two sons.
