The law firm behind the advertisement said it was an “honest mistake” that was published without the partner’s approval.

The advertisement, which was uploaded on the Malaysian Bar’s job search platform yesterday, has since been modified with the particular criteria removed.

“We have retracted the advertisement and we regret the mistake,” said a statement from the firm.

“Once again, we offer our apologies.”

The original post about the advertisement which appeared on the Facebook account of a user by the name of Aidil Khalid had picked up 540 shares since it was uploaded yesterday – which also happened to be International Women’s Day.

“What kind of job advertisement is this? Requirement: ‘female only and good looking’. Seriously? Are you looking for a legal assistant or a sugar baby,” Aidil had commented on the post which he shared.
