Kok had said she received a visit from a woman named Siti Noor Madzariah seeking her help at her service centre on Thursday.
The mother of five told Kok she had been unable to secure permanent employment since she was let go from her job at Malaysia Airlines.
“Since I published my post about her on Facebook, my office has received many calls from the public who have offered her jobs and financial assistance,” said Kok after visiting Siti today with representatives from the National Union of Flight Attendants Malaysia (Nufam).
“I have also passed her a list of more than 40 job offers and have advised her to choose a suitable job from the list.
“Both the Nufam leaders and I would like to thank fellow Malaysians profusely for all their support and concern for her,” she added in a Facebook post.
Kok said Siti told her she had also received many calls from former airline crew members and Malaysians who wanted to render assistance to her, adding that a nearby mosque committee was also set to pay her a visit today.
When Siti met Kok on Thursday, she told the MP she was having problems keeping up with her monthly rental and instalments for her motorcycle, with Kok then giving her some food and RM300.
In a statement on its Facebook page yesterday, the Federal Territories Islamic Religious Council (MAIWP) said it will increase its monthly assistance to her from the current RM300 and provide financial aid to help cover her rent at her apartment along Jalan Klang Lama.
