
He said the ministry had received many proposals to organise Lima’21, cancelled earlier because of the spread of Covid-19, including an online version.
“The plan to hold Lima in 2023 is maintained and there is no change so far. Many are of the view that by 2023, Covid-19 vaccination in the world would have been completed,” he said on Bernama TV’s Ruang Bicara programme, “Setahun Malaysia Prihatin” last night.
Lima’21 had been scheduled to be held from March 16 to 20.
On the Defence Services Asia exhibition, scheduled for March 28 to 31, 2022, Ismail said it may be held, pending a decision by the organisers.
The event will focus on cyber defence, long-range control systems and healthcare in the battlefield, apart from providing opportunities for strategic alliances, business cooperation and networking among major defence practitioners and government and security agencies.
