Ex-Hicom man is new boss of motor trader MBM Resources

Muhammad Fateh Teh Abdullah takes over from Monday at the company, which handles Daihatsu, Volvo, Hino and Perodua vehicles.

KUALA LUMPUR:
Motor trader and parts maker MBM Resources Bhd (MBMR) has appointed Muhammad Fateh Teh Abdullah, former head of automotive distribution division at Hicom Holdings Bhd, as its new president and chief executive from Feb 8.

The company said acting president Annie Chin will resume her position as the group’s chief financial officer.

Fateh, 50, has 23 years’ of experience in the automotive industry and gained diverse experience in sales and marketing, distribution, strategic planning, and business development.

He started his career at the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers and moved on to join various automotive groups such as UMW Holdings group of companies, Perodua Sales Sdn Bhd and Hicom Holdings.

MBMR chairman Aminar Rashid Salleh said the appointment marks a new chapter in the group’s journey and vision of becoming a leading automotive group in Malaysia.

MBM Resources is a motor trader, distributing Daihatsu, Hino, Volvo and Perodua vehicles, and is also an automotive parts manufacturer.
