530 beds added in 14 hospitals for Covid-19 cases

Health ministry move part of plan to have 1,000 more beds for those infected by the virus.

The health ministry is adding 108 beds at Hospital Serdang to ward Covid-19 cases.
PETALING JAYA:
The health ministry has designated another 14 hospitals in several states to treat Covid-19 patients.

These hospitals will provide a total 0f 531 beds for these patients, with Selangor having the most number of beds (164) reserved for Covid-19 cases.

These are the list of hospitals:

  • Johor (Hospital Sultan Ismail – 20 beds, Hospital Muar – 24, Hospital Sultanah Nora Ismail – 28)
  • Kedah (Hospital Sultan Abdul Halim – 60 beds)
  • Selangor (Hospital Serdang – 108 beds, Hospital Selayang – 56)
  • Pahang (Hospital Pekan – 12 beds, Hospital Jengka – 50, Hospital Muadzam Shah – 28)
  • Terengganu (Hospital Setiu – 56 beds)
  • Kelantan (Hospital Jeli – 24 beds)
  • Sabah (Hospital Kudat– 29 beds)
  • Sarawak (Hospital Limbang – 28 beds, Hospital Sarikei – 16)
