In a Telegram message, the National Security Council said those who wish to leave their districts or state will need to fill a form.
These forms are the “Borang Permit Pergerakan PKP” for areas under MCO and “Borang Permit Pergerakan PKPB” for areas under CMCO.
Areas under MCO are Selangor, Johor, Melaka, Penang, Sabah, Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Labuan.
Areas under CMCO are Perak, Pahang, Negeri Sembilan, Kedah, Terengganu and Kelantan.
To apply, simply download the form which applies to your area from the following links found in the police website – MCO travel form and CMCO travel form.
Fill up two copies of the form, providing details, including reasons for wanting to travel, as well as the number of people travelling and expected date or time to leave the area and return.
Then submit the completed forms at the nearest police station for approval.
The two-week MCO and CMCO which came into force yesterday is scheduled to end on Jan 26.
Previously, Inspector-General of Police Abdul Hamid Bador had said he had instructed his men to use their discretion to allow people to return to their respective homes or workplaces in the first three days of the MCO (ending tomorrow).
