MCMC’s Twitter account hacked

The commission says it did not tweet the 'suspicious' messages found in its account.

KUALA LUMPUR:
The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission’s (MCMC) official Twitter account was temporarily deactivated after it was hacked by irresponsible parties.

In a statement, MCMC said several suspicious messages sent through the account were not issued by MCMC.

“People are advised not to be influenced with such suspicious, vile and defamatory messages that have been uploaded through the account,” the statement said.
