
In a statement, senior minister for security Ismail Sabri Yaakob said 525 were issued compound fines while the remaining three were remanded.
The bulk of the offences were related to entertainment outlet activities (203), not wearing face masks (149), failure to register or provide materials for contact tracing (101), failure to observe physical distancing (73) and others (2).
A total of 2,946 compliance task force teams were deployed to conduct checks on supermarkets, restaurants, hawker stalls, factories, banks, government offices, as well as land, water and air transport terminals.
Ismail also said police detained 38 undocumented migrants under Op Benteng. Three vehicles were also confiscated.
He added that 101,163 people arrived through international gateways between July 24 and Jan 9 from various countries.
A total of 540 people tested positive and were sent to hospital for treatment, while 92,731 have been allowed to return home.
Some 7,892 are currently undergoing mandatory quarantine.
