
In a Facebook post, the management said it had been advised by the health ministry to close for contact tracing and sanitisation works to be conducted.
It added that customers believed to be close contacts of infected employees will be called up by the health ministry.
“We are working closely with the authorities and will act on their advice.
“We have and will continue to carry out all necessary safety measures, including replacement of service partners’ workers, contact tracing, swab tests, quarantine for all close contacts, and sanitisation.
“The health, safety and overall well-being of our customers, co-workers, partners and community are our top priority.
“We will continue to work closely with the public health officials and do our part by carrying out all necessary preventive measures at our stores,” it said.
IKEA’s Damansara outlet had previously closed for a day in November after one of its part-time workers was suspected to be Covid-19 positive.
