Cops nab 30 at ‘drug-laced party’ in Bukit Tinggi bungalow

The 17 men and 13 women were arrested at 4.45am and will be remanded for a week.

KUANTAN:
Police arrested 30 individuals, including a foreigner, who were allegedly having a drug-laced party at a bungalow in Genting Sempah, Bukit Tinggi, Bentong, 217km from here, early today.

Bentong district police chief Zaiham Mohd Kahar said they were aged between 20 and 35 and comprised 17 men and 13 women. They were arrested during the raid at 4.45am.

He said further investigations found methamphetamine, ketamine and cannabis estimated to be worth RM3,750.

“The preliminary urine screening on all the suspects found that 25 of them were positive for methamphetamine while one was positive for ketamine,” he said when contacted here today.

The suspects are being remanded for seven days from today.

Zaiham said 29 suspects were also charged under the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988, where they had to pay a compound fine of RM1,000 each.
