KUALA TERENGGANU:
Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA) is setting up an Infectious Disease Research Centre under its Medical Faculty soon.

Its vice-chancellor, Hassan Basri Awang Mat Dahan said the setting up of the centre was proposed by the specialist unit at UniSZA Teaching Hospital.

“A proposal paper, including on the requirements of the centre, such as laboratory and research facilities, as well as the cost, will be tabled soon,” he told reporters at a programme for the media here today.

He said the setting up of the centre was also proposed following UniSZA’s success in introducing the Covid-19 risk assessment and self-health monitoring (CHaSe) application recently.
