
In a statement, he said MCA’s divisional AGMs, state conventions and general assembly for the year will be postponed to June 30, 2021 at the latest.
He said to avoid confusion, the party decided that the divisional AGMs of MCA and its youth and women’s wings must be completed by the end of this month.
He added that divisions that have held their AGMs earlier this year are not required to hold them again.
“The youth and women’s wings of each state must hold their respective state AGMs by Jan 31.”
He also said the MCA general assembly and the meetings of its two central wings would be held concurrently with the party’s anniversary celebrations for the coming year.
“The party’s Political Development Committee also agreed to forgo this year’s state conventions.”
He reminded party members to prioritise health and safety measures in the coming divisional AGMs and state AGMs of the youth and women’s wings, urging them to adhere strictly to the set SOPs as stipulated by the health ministry and the National Security Council.
