
Finance Minister Tengku Zafrul Aziz said in a written reply that the money amounted to 42% of a total allocation of RM35 billion.
He said RM7.15 billion had been spent and benefitted a total of 1.36 million recipients, while a total of RM5.54 billion had been disbursed to more than 40,000 businesses.
Measures aimed at stimulating the economy, amounting to a total of RM1.9 billion, had benefitted about 11.36 million recipients, he said in reply to Abdullah Sani Abdul Hamid (PH-Kapar).
Abdullah Sani had also asked if the government intended to increase the Penjana allocation.
Tengku Zafrul said a special additional initiative of a total of RM10 billion had been announced in September, for the Bantuan Prihatin Nasional aid programme, wage subsidies of RM2.4 billion and special grants of RM600 million.
