Its secretary-general, Hamzah Zainudin, said the leadership will propose the formation of a new wing for associate members at the meeting.
In August, PPBM president Muhyiddin Yassin had proposed for non-Bumiputera members to hold leadership positions.
Currently, non-Bumiputeras are able to join the party as associate members but are unable to hold positions.
It was said at the time that should the proposal be accepted, an extraordinary general meeting will be arranged to amend the party’s constitution.
In a statement today, Hamzah said the meeting will also discuss the party’s way forward as well as policies in economy, politics and social welfare.
He also said that at a meeting to discuss the government’s measures to curb the spread of Covid-19, its leadership pledged to support the government’s proposals for next year’s budget.
“We encourage all parties to follow suit,” Hamzah added.
