PETALING JAYA:
The Keretapi Tanah Melayu Bhd (KTMB) workers’ union has claimed that the company’s CEO, Kamarulzaman Zainal, is set to be replaced.

Speaking to FMT, union president Abdul Razak Md Hassan said they have received information that Kamarulzaman’s contract, which ends on Oct 21, 2021, will be terminated at the end of the month.

Razak also claimed that Kamarulzaman will be replaced by former CEO Mohd Rani Hisham Samsudin, who helmed the company from 2017 to 2019.

He said the union was against any plan to replace Kamarulzaman with Rani.

“The union appeals to (Prime Minister) Muhyiddin Yassin to intervene in this matter,” he said, adding that it was satisfied with Kamarulzaman’s performance.

FMT has reached out to KTMB for comment.
