Staff member at Perak MB’s office tests positive for Covid-19

Perak Menteri Besar Ahmad Faizal Azumu tests negative after a screening.

Testing of close contacts is proceeding and the MB’s office has been sanitised.
PETALING JAYA:
A member of the Perak Menteri Besar’s office staff has tested positive for Covid-19 after undergoing a health screening.

Perak Menteri Besar Ahmad Faizal Azumu was not in the office as he was attending the parliamentary sitting now going on, said the Perak Menteri Besar’s office in a statement today.

Faizal tested negative after a screening yesterday.

The menteri besar’s office has been sanitised in accordance with SOPs and the state Health Department is currently conducting contact tracing among the office staff and officers.

Meanwhile, other staff from the menteri besar’s office have been instructed to undergo self-quarantine at home and monitor their health until further instructions.
