PETALING JAYA:
Muar MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman has unveiled the logo for his new party, Malaysian United Democratic Alliance (Muda).

He posted a picture of the party’s logo (see below) on Twitter today with the hashtag #MUDAsudahMULA (Muda has begun).

Syed Saddiq said the party will not have an age limit for its members despite its name.

He had previously announced that he would be starting a youth-centric party.

However, former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad and other political stalwarts questioned the relevance of such a party and downplayed its impact on the local political scene.

Meanwhile, another founding member of the party said they had submitted the relevant documents for registration as a political party to the Registrar of Societies this morning.

Syed Saddiq was the former youth and sports minister under the Pakatan Harapan administration and had also been the PPBM Youth chief until May.
